I recently finish reading Jay Holmes's novel "Connections" a delightful story about an odd group of individuals living together in an old Victorian boarding house.
The story revolves around the boarding house owner Freida and her various tenants, their personal lives, and their trials and tribulations in trying to keep this motley extended family together with the prospect of a possible bank foreclosure and eviction.
I would certainly recommend this book to anyone interested in light drama.
"Connections" is the charming story of a group of strangers brought together as boarders in a large Victorian home in northern California. The author skillfully develops the characters of his boarders, and their interactions range widely from humorous to tempestuous to tender. I found this novel to be poignant and thoroughly entertaining.
